Miss Underwood runs the school Eco Committee.
The children had to apply for the role and take their responsibility very seriously. They are committed to making the school more environmentally friendly. A number of their initiatives include reducing the amount of paper used, recycling paper and plastic and collecting plastic bottle tops.
This year, they are getting involved in planting trees in the local community with the Forest Ranger.
The Eco Committee went to the Old Bilson Mission in Cinderford to plant a new hedge. They planted a mixture of holly, hazel, dogwood and spindle. We were lucky enough to be given some trees to plant back in the school grounds. We hope to go back to see how they are growing.
Miss Ewles is running Eco Club this term! It is open to Y1-Y4.
